
Recently, the University in Osaka, Japan completed a study of some 3000 people and found that those who ate too fast were more likely to be overweight.
This is just the last of several studies which all agree that those of us who wolf down dinner eat more. The reason for this is rather simple. It takes about 20 minutes for our bodies to comunicate to our brains that we are full. If we're eating fast, we can eat a lot of food in those 20 minutes.
Some researchers have speculated we could lose up to 20 pounds a year just by slowing down when we eat. Now that's what I call painless dieting.
